Members of the Carroll County Agriculture Fair Committee earned several honors after traveling to Williamsburg earlier this month to compete in the 2023 Virginia Association of Fairs Communication Awards.
The fair brought home several awards: 2022 Best Overall — Fair Attendance (7,000-29,999 Division); and 2022 Best in Show — Communications Awards, including Premium Book, Photo Essay Board, Brochure, Pageant Scrapbook, Theme and Magazine Ad.
The local fair committee reported that the Virginia Association of Fairs added several new awards this year, of which Carroll County won three: Most Creative Communications Award, Triple Crown Communications Award and Daily Double Communications Awards.
The committee members said they are ready to start planning the 2023 fair, and thanked all fair patrons, sponsors and volunteers for continued support.
