Dr. Bradley Nester spoke at the June meeting of the Parkinson’s and Essential Tremor Support Group.
Nester shared his personal vision change journey from his perspective as a patient. He also discussed that, as we grow older, it is normal to experience age-related eye problems and these changes may have nothing to do with Parkinson’s disease (PD). However, he stressed the importance of seeing an eye specialist when vision changes occur.
This support group’s goal is to motivate, inspire and encourage one another. This non-denominational support group meets on the second Wednesday each month at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Church in Woodlawn. The community is invited to meet others who are dealing with PD and ET at an informal gathering with snacks and beverages. You can meet new people, see old friends and obtain important resource materials.
