James Albert Litz, 77, of Galax, Va., passed away Friday, May 19, 2023, in Forsyth Medical Center.
James was born on Sept. 9, 1945, in Grayson County, Va., to the late Ted and Hallie Gordon Litz.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Sizemore Litz of Galax, Va.; son and daughter-in-law, Eric James and Amy Litz of Galax, Va.; sisters, Sarah Draughn of Clemmons, N.C., and Nancy Litz of Woodlawn, Va.; brother, Johnny Litz of St. Louis, Mo.; grandchildren, Kandace and Christian Lavender, Hannah Hardy and Reagan Litz; great-grandson, Conor Lavender; as well as several other nieces and nephews.
The graveside service was held Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 2 p.m. in the McKenzie Cemetery with Pastor Matthew Adams officiating. Burial followed. The family received friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
