Una Lee Jones, 82, of Galax, Va., passed away Feb. 5, 2023. She was born in Carroll County, Va., on July 30, 1940, to Clifford and Hattie Lineberry Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, a brother, a sister-in-law, and a nephew and his wife.
She is survived by her sister, Faye Rutherford of Woodlawn, Va.; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Velma Jones of Galax, Va.; an aunt, two nieces and spouses, six nephews and spouses, several great-nieces and great-nephews and several great-great nieces and great-great-nephews.
The funeral service will be held Feb. 12, 2023, at 2 p.m. in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Sammy Burnette and Billy Burnette officiating. Burial will follow in the River Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Feb. 11, 2023, from 6-8 p.m. at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
At her request, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the River Hill Cemetery, 1413 Pridemore Road, Galax, VA 24333.
