Betty Edith Rose Stevens Montgomery, 90, passed away on Jan. 26, 2023. She was born on Aug. 3, 1932, in the Fox community of Independence, Va., to Josh Bryant and Jincy Belle Young Rose. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, the Rev. Charlie D. Stevens; her second husband, Joseph S. “Skebo” Montgomery; and her one brother.
She is survived by three sons, Willard and Chun Stevens of Galax, Va., the Rev. Grover Neal and Mi Stevens of Bedford, Va., and Pastor Avery and Ellen Stevens of Danville, Va.; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
